Memorial Day Pocket Green Tourmaline Pendant

Memorial Day is the day we kick off summer:  Backyards, BBQ and a day off.  But for Dennis Durgin, Memorial Day of 2011 meant one thing: tourmaline!  

This beautiful sterling silver pendant is centered around one of the stunning green gem tourmalines found on Memorial Day at Mt. Marie pegmatite in Paris, Maine. The stone measures 9.1 mm and weighs 3.24 cts.  It was hand faceted by Derek Katzenbach of Farmington, Maine.
