Walking through the woods can bring us peace, clarity and understanding. Woods and forests can be sacred; almost as if they were outdoor cathedrals.
The stones in this series of necklaces are nestled amongst the pines and if you peek through the stones, you can see a hidden pine tree. The amethyst cabochons measure 14 x 10 mm and weigh 5.45 carats each. Mined during the late 1960s, they were mined at the Deer Hill mine in Stow, Maine by Jim Mann.
These necklaces were designed and created by Jesse Mixer, a jewelry artist from New Hampshire. All of her designs are amazingly handcut in sterling silver with elements on both the front and back. And while these may all look the same, there are small differences between them.
