These unique earrings feature amethyst and tourmaline. Made into post earrings, the top half of the earrings feature amethyst cabochons that weigh 2.23 total carats. They were mined at the Deer Hill Mine in Stow, Maine in the 1990s by the Intergalactic Mining Corporation. The tourmalines gently dangling below were mined at Mt. Mica, Paris, Maine. They are naturally color zoned from black to pink to green. They weigh a total of 15.61 carats and are 1.5 inches long. The earrings have both sterling silver and 18k yellow gold design elements.
The earrings were designed and handcrafted by Victoria Woolen-Danner of VWD Jewelry. She summers in Bethel, Maine and winters in Chicago, Illinois.
