Maine pegmatites are well known as a source for beautiful colored gem tourmaline. Additionally, Maine is also well known for producing stunning amethyst gemstones!
This pendant is all about the purple. This large 14 mm gemstone (just a bit smaller than a dime) weighs 11 carats. It was mined at the Deer Hill mine in Stow, Maine by the Intergalactic Mining Corporation.
The pendant was designed and created by Maine jewelry artist Tina Dinsmore. The stone in set in sterling silver with a hint of 14k yellow gold.
