Perched in the middle of this ring is a lovely tourmaline, much like satellites are out in space.
The tourmalines all measure 3 mm and weigh around 0.11 carats. The pink tourmaline is from Mt. Marie pegmatite in Paris, Maine and mined by Dennis Durgin from 2009-2013. The blue and green tourmaline is from the Mt. Mica pegmatite in Paris, Maine and was mined by Brett Leighton in the 1990's.
The rings were handcrafted by Cathy Heinz of Cathy Heinz Designs of Cumberland Foreside, Maine, using sterling silver with a 14k yellow gold bezel setting for the tourmaline gemstones.
